USM Athletics receives 3rd installment in 5-year sponsorship pledge from UCU

(Gorham) – Gail LaBonty & Kevin Foley, Branch Managers of University Credit Union, presented the third installment of UCU’s five-year sponsorship commitment to Al Bean, USM Athletics Director on Tuesday, January 13, 2009. UCU has a long history of providing support to the University System and is pleased to be able to extend that support to USM and the Athletics Department. Matt Walsh, President/CEO of UCU states “UCU has enjoyed the successful partnership with USM Athletics over the past two years and we look forward to continuing the partnership in the years to come.”

UCU opened a new branch on Brighton Avenue in Portland on December 1, 2007 along the commuter route between USM’s Portland and Gorham campuses. Along with UCU’s branch at 391 Forest Avenue, adjacent to the USM campus, these branches are strategically located to better serve not only the USM community, but all University of Maine System alumni living and working in the Greater Portland area.
