Fraudulent Text Messages Occuring

Date: February 13th, 2009 - Author: University Credit Union

There is currently a text message scam circulating involving a message that indicates to debit card holders that their card has been deactivated and to call a number to reactivate the call. In some cases they are using the name of a local financial institution. Once a person calls the number they are then instructed to give out personal information.

Please do not respond to these messages and be advised that UCU would never contact a member about their debit card or account via text message. If you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to contact us at 800-696-8628.
